Intro:
I have been feeling a little under the weather the last few days so I decided to call super foods to the rescue and whipped up this yummy immunity-boosting smoothie. My body was actually craving it, especially the tanginess of ginger! The ingredients have anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. This smoothie is full of antioxidants and vitamin A and C in particular, but many other vitamins and minerals too. I added some protein powder because protein is crucial during recovery.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: -
Portions: 2

Ingredients:
1 carrot, cut in chunks
2 oranges (flesh only)
1/2 mango
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp honey

Procedure:
1. Wash, peel, and roughly chop carrot, mango and ginger
2. Add them to a blender with the rest of the ingredients and some ice
3. Mix on high for 2 minutes or until no chunks are left. If needed add some extra juice or water to make it thinner.

Notes:
Protein powder is optional, you can omit it or add a whole scoop according to your preference and needs. Adjust liquids accordingly. Almond milk can be substituted with any other milk, with juice or water. This smoothie is best if consumed immediately.
